2011 Sambo US Open and Pan American Championships

Rahway- NJ

Team Renegade represented well at the 2011 Sambo US open. Taylor Costantino won a 1st Place Gold Medal in the 68kg Division, Jeremy Piaser won a 3rd Place Bronze medal in the 82kg division, and Matt Dixon won a 3rd Place Bronze Medal in the 59kg division (15-16 year old).

NAGA World Championships -  NJ may 7th, 2011

 Vic Torres wins 2nd place Silver medal at the NAGA World Championships! Vic competed in the Intermediate division and made it all the way through to the finals. Vic has been working hard on his ground game over the last few months and the hard work really paid off!

Grapplers Quest - Beast of the East April 9th 2011

    Brittany Waunsch wins a Silver Medal in the Women's Division. This was Brittany's first Grappling tournament and she did very well for her first time out!

The ASA's Team American Sambo sweeps the Dutch Open Sambo Championships (FIAS) today. Reilly Bodycomb, Mike Ruesch, and Doug Fournet all take home gold medals! Anthony Sansonetti takes home a silver medal because he also made it to the finals along with fellow team mate Doug Fournet!

      Tim Fowler of Team Renegade fought December 5th on Evolution Holiday havoc, he lost a decision after 3 tough rounds. The fight was extremely close, Tim fought his heart out and represented his team well! We look forward to Tim fighting again in early 2011.

      Congratulations to Team Renegade Fighter Ben Syers in his recent Title Fight victory over Bobby Ascolillo. Ben needed just 4 seconds to KO his opponent and win the Evolution MMA 140lb Championship Belt!

           Team Renegade member  Tim Fowler competed in the all Army Combatives Tournament held at Ft. Benning Georgia. Tim, a Sgt First Class in the US Army, competed in a division stacked with over 60 of the best Army Combatives fighters from all over the world. He made it through to the 3rd opponent before being eliminated from the tournament. Below is a video of his 2nd match of the day.
